The Design Challenge

Designing GAP App meant solving a complex UX puzzle: how to make social fitness feel intuitive, motivating, and location-aware. The challenge was to connect users with partners, events, and guidance – all while keeping the interface clean, energetic, and easy to navigate.

We had to balance functionality with emotional engagement, ensuring that every feature – from chat to activity tracking – felt purposeful and seamless across diverse user goals.

Solution For GAP app

GAP app is designed to meet the needs and expectations of people taking care of their health and body.

• An intuitive Search for Sports Partners. Users can search for sports partners based on criteria such as location, fitness level, types of sports, and availability.
• Motivation and Competitions. Users can set personal goals, achieve milestones, and compete with other participants to encourage regular training.
• Search for Events. Users can find sports events like tournaments and championships related to their chosen sport and register as participants or spectators.
• Chat and Community. Built-in chat for discussing workout plans, mutual support, and sharing experiences.
• Group Workout. Functionality for group workouts across various sports, where users can choose and join events.
• Physical Activity Tracking. Integration with fitness trackers to monitor physical activity and analyze progress.

User Flow

Designing the user flow for GAP App was a foundational step in crafting a seamless and engaging experience. We carefully charted each interaction – from initial login to event participation and community engagement to ensure users could intuitively navigate the platform. This mapping helped us uncover friction points that often disrupt momentum in fitness and social apps, such as unclear registration paths or disjointed event discovery. By visualizing the journey, we were able to align features with user expectations and create a more fluid progression through the app

The result is a system where users can move naturally between discovering events, connecting with workout partners, and tracking their progress all without cognitive overload. Whether they’re joining a local tournament or chatting with a new group, every step is designed to feel purposeful and rewarding. The flow supports both casual users and goal-driven athletes, making it easy to stay motivated, informed, and socially connected throughout their fitness journey

Wireframe

Wireframes served as the blueprint for EcoHub, allowing us to experiment with layouts, test navigation flows, and identify usability issues early on. By concentrating on structure before visuals, we established a solid foundation for an intuitive and user-friendly platform.

UI Design

The UI design phase brought GAP App to life, evolving it from wireframes into a vibrant, user-centric interface. We focused on crafting a visual language that feels energetic, inclusive, and easy to navigate perfectly aligned with the app’s fitness and community-driven goals. Strategic use of colour, typography, and layout guides users toward key actions while keeping the experience light and intuitive.

Each screen was built to enhance flow and motivation, whether users are browsing events, chatting with partners, or tracking workouts. The result is a unified design system that supports movement, connection, and progress making every interaction feel purposeful and empowering.
